ABOUT THE PROGRAM & APPLY
NO PROGRAM CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED...
Thank you for your interest in D’AIR’s youth program. Established 2007, the D’AIR Project is a 501c3 not-for-profit community arts organization (D.A.I.R. inc.) with a mission to enrich the community by creating and presenting artistically innovative works of aerial dance theater and to foster positive youth development through movement arts and cultural education. Our kids program is open to kids 1st-6th and meets once a week. This is a great class to give students an overview of trapeze, aerial fabrics and acrobatics skills. As students progress they can choose to concentrate on certain skills and work on sequencing and choreography. Students of the teen program assist in classes. The class is offered on a sliding scale. Please note that since we allot at least half of the class slots to our partner organizations, there are limited spaces available for the general public. Registration opens to the general public at the end of August of each year or when space is available.
New and returning students, please follow this link to the online application form and fill it out in its entirety. Partial application forms are not accepted. Please note you will need to log in after submitting the applications and read and have parents sign off on some of the forms. Due to the limited sizes of our classes we may not be able to accept every child. Program fees and signed release forms (may be printed from link below or filled out at the studio) are due no later than the first day of class (cash, check or online at zenplanner.com). Acceptance into our program is based on the following criteria:
1. Priority is given to students recommended to us by community partner organizations
2. Priority is given to students who completed our previous year’s program in good standing (acceptable behavior and attendance record)
3. At least 60-70% of youth accepted answer yes to questions 1-4 on our application
